Dr.
Jondle specializes in intellectual property law in the fields of
biotechnology, life sciences and plant proprietary rights.
His practice includes
preparing and prosecuting U.S. and international patent and
trademark applications, licensing, counseling, trade secret law,
alternative dispute resolution and litigation.
Dr. Jondle received a Ph.D. in
Plant Genetics from Iowa State University and a law degree from
Georgetown Law Center in Washington, D.C..
Dr. Jondle has fourteen years
of experience in plant science, in both research and management
positions. Dr. Jondle served as Vice President of Research for
Stauffer Seeds and as a Director at Pioneer Hi-Bred
International.
In 1987, Dr. Jondle entered
the intellectual property law field. He has worked as a patent
attorney, legal associate and bioscience advisor for
intellectual property law firms. He is a member of the District
of Columbia, Maryland and Colorado Bar Associations; the U.S.
Supreme Court; the American Bar Association; the American
Intellectual Property Law Association and the Federal Circuit
Bar Association.
Dr. Jondle has twice served as
Chair of the Biosciences Division of the Plant Committee of the
American Bar Association's Intellectual Property Law Section. He
is a past Board member of the Iowa Intellectual Property Law
Association. He is Past Chair of the Legal Concerns Committee,
Chair of the Associates Members Division and member of the
Arbitration Committee of the American Seed Trade Association. He
has also served as the Chair and Steering Committee member of
the Intellectual property Rights Working Group of the American
Society of Horticulture Science and is a U.S. member of the
International Trade Arbitration Committee of the International
Seed Federation.
He is frequently invited to speak on biotechnology and plant
proprietary rights issues.
