Eric Ives,

Dr. Ives specializes in intellectual property law in the fields
of biotechnology, life sciences and in the preparation and
prosecution of biotechnology patent applications. His experience
includes the protection of transgenic organisms, research
methods, vaccines, pharmaceutical screening methods and medical
devices. Eric has been working as a Registered Patent Agent in
since 2002.
Dr. Ives received his Ph.D. in Molecular Cell Biology from
Washington University in St. Louis. His thesis work explored the
relationship between the inositol polyphosphate synthesis
pathway and nuclear export of mRNA, and utilized the techniques
of yeast genetics, cell biology, molecular biology and enzyme
biochemistry. Dr. Ives obtained his undergraduate degree from
Albion College, where he double majored in Biology and Music.
Dr. Ives has prosecuted and managed complex patent portfolios
both domestically and internationally. He has served the needs
of large biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, major
research institutions, and small biotech start-ups.
