Mr. James Holm specializes in prosecuting patent applications in the plant and life sciences. Mr. Holm received a Bachelor of Science with honors in Biology from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Science in Environmental Horticulture from the University of Florida. Jim is a Registered Patent Agent.

Mr. Holm has over 20 years experience in the plant and agricultural sciences including industry, government and academia experience. Mr. Holm’s graduate studies included working with renowned foliage plant breeders from the University of Florida. Mr. Holm’s research involved the restoration of fertility in interspecfic foliage plant cultivars. He performed flow cytometric analyses to detect tetraploids. These tetraploids were than used in traditional breeding programs to generate novel plant varieties for release to industry.

Prior to joining Jondle and Associates, Mr. Holm worked directly in industry as a research manager for a commercial tissue culture lab based in Florida. His work involved the development and improvement of plant micropropagation techniques, introduction of new plant varieties into tissue culture, management of proprietary and contract production of plant crops, plant breeding, and evaluation of new plant cultivars. In addition to his work experience in industry, Mr. Holm worked for the University of Florida as a Biological Scientist performing vegetable variety field trials and quantitative evaluation of new agronomic plant varieties. Mr. Holm also has 6 years of plant regulatory experience working with the Florida Division of Plant Industry.
