Barbara
Campbell is a licensed Patent and Trademark Attorney with a
specialization of prosecuting patent applications in the
biological sciences, including biotechnology, plant sciences,
biofuel technology, cosmeceutical/nutraceutical sciences and
drafting legal opinions.
Ms. Campbell’s practice also entails drafting and negotiating
license agreements relating to intellectual property, the
transfer or sharing of intellectual property, including
agreements related to research/technology transfer, licensing,
field trials, employment, confidentiality, noncompetition, joint
development, patent and trademark licenses and assignments,
production/manufacturing, opinion work concerning infringement
and validity, counseling in intellectual property strategies and
pre-litigation intellectual property counseling.
Ms. Campbell also prosecutes Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT)
applications and works with international associates to file and
prosecute international patent applications, Plant Breeder’s
Rights (PBRs) and Community Plant Variety Rights (CPVR).
Ms. Campbell received an M.S. degree in Molecular Genetics and
Ecological Studies from Cleveland State University in 1998 and a
law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2003.
