Dr.
Elizabeth Bennett-Jarvis, a licensed Patent and Trademark
Attorney, has written and prosecuted patent applications in the
biological sciences, including biotechnology and plant sciences,
and in business methods; drafted legal opinions, including
freedom to operate; and has written and prosecuted trademark
applications. She also works with international associates to
file and prosecute international patent and trademark
applications. She is also involved in other intellectual
property matters, including trademark oppositions, copyright,
and counseling in IP strategies.
Dr. Bennett-Jarvis has a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Clemson
University and a M.S. in Biology from Northern Illinois
University. She earned her J.D. from Creighton University. Prior
to entering the legal profession, Dr. Bennett-Jarvis was a
faculty member in the Biology Department at Georgia College &
State University where she taught courses in Cell and Molecular
Biology, Genetics, Plant Physiology and Plant Pathology.
